Aneesha was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. For as long as she can remember, she has always had a passion for music. Whether it's newer music, older, played acoustic, live or on a record - she will listen to it. The way artists are able to express themselves through words and instruments is a pretty powerful thing.
It wasn't until a few years ago that she discovered her other passion - writing. She combined both of these loves to start her blog, which lead to being a contributor to an online entertainment magazine, and later to publishing her first book - "Stan's Jams". A collection of fictional short stories all relating to music and its place in everyone's world.
Aneesha recently came together with a few friends and formed the Zista Arts Society: a not-for-profit organization that focuses on finding, supporting and promoting South Asian music, arts and culture. There are people all over the city doing incredible things for the arts, and Zista wants to let these talents be seen.
This site will keep you up-to-date with all of Aneesha's writing endeavours, plus will feature hilarious, witty, thought-provoking commentary on all kinds of music (hence the "Music" tab.)
